Tom is currently the Athletic Director and Alpine Program Director at the Waterville Valley Snowsports Academy in New Hampshire. WVA uses the Burdenko Method extensively in it’s training of young athletes. Tom also teaches Undergraduate and Graduate courses in the Burdenko Mehtod at Plymouth State University. Tom has two degrees from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He has a B.Sc. in Physical Education and a M.Ed. in Exercise Physiology. Tom is a member of the McGill Athletic Hall of Fame. Tom is most proud of his Masters’ Certification in the Burdenko Method. As an athlete Tom was a professional in two sports. As a coach, Tom has over 40 years of experience and has coached at three Olympics Games. Tom has practiced the Burdenko Method for twenty-two years. “The Burdenko Method has been a God sent for me and my family. It has saved me from cancer, it has kept me young and it has helped heal my wife’s back problems. I do not dare to think where I would be without the Burdenko Method both personally and professionally. I truly love using this Method to help people get healthy and to help them to perform better.”

Joe Carroll is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-owns Cape Cod Rehab with his wife, Kathy. Obtaining his BS in Physical Therapy from Boston University, MS in Management from Lesley University and recently his Doctorate from EIM Institute of Health Professions, he is a lifelong learner. One of the first PT’s in the state to be certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist he is also a Master Instructor in the Burdenko Method. During his career he has been called upon to work at Sports Medicine events beginning with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympiad, World Junior Baseball Championships where he supervised the Medical Coverage for the event on Cape Cod and at Boston’s Fenway Park, US Figure Skating Championships, Babe Ruth World Series and numerous Road Races. His focus has always been on working with individual patients from all walks of life, athletes and non-athletes from the little leagues to Major Leagues and helping them overcome their injury and return to their sport or activity. 3 time Boston Marathon finisher, he continues to run half marathons and knows what it takes to help athletes get to the level they desire. "Participation is the key, and no amount of physical activity is too little. I believe in physical fitness and sports as a way to improve our quality of life, both mentally and physically. In dealing with injury, the body has amazing recuperative powers, especially when we believe in ourselves and we see ourselves achieving our goals. I see examples every day of people overcoming great odds and doing things someone has told them they will never be able to do again."

Paul started working with Dr. Burdenko as a licensed Physical Therapist in the summer of 1997 specializing in the Burdenko Method of rehabilitation, training and conditioning. In 2002 he started working for Burdenko Certification Programs teaching the Burdenko Method to hundreds of therapists, trainers, physicians, athletes and other health professionals to improve their quality of work and the lives of those they help. Along the way he has helped Dr. Burdenko with the continued development of the Burdenko Method and has been helping to rehabilitate professional athletes, dancers and clients ranging from 5 years old to 92 years young. He remains as in integral part of the Burdenko Method and continues to work alongside with Igor and all the members of the The Burdenko Water and Sports Therapy Faculty.
